I'm on a journey of a lifetime. On February 8th 2010 I had long awaited weightloss surgery called the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. I've been overweight since I've been 6 years old. My BMI at the time of surgery was 44, although after my first pregnancy I topped that off at an even 50. Currently it is 26, and I have a short ways to go to get to that magical number of >25.
Everyday that goes by I'm feeling better, less sore, and I'm tolerating more foods. Mind you, everything is pureed. I'm down to my surgery weight of 263. 7 lbs since yesterday. All fluid. The swelling has gone down in my hands and arms. Although I've got a nice bright red hot spot on the arm that had the iv. I'll be pissed if it ends up being cellulitis.
